HOYA CORPORATION announces that the following changes to the board of directors were decided at the board of directors meeting held on May 26, 2000:
The reorganization is aimed at promoting value-creating management and swift response to globalization.
This change will be officially implemented upon approval at the 62nd ordinary general meeting of shareholders and the meeting of
the board of directors to be held on June 27, 2000.
